Hi, I’m Mel. I’m a registered nurse and certified gerontological nurse with more than 20 years of experience caring for older adults and people living with dementia. I’ve worked as a Director of Care, a Care Manager of a 100-bed dementia unit, and a Nurse Educator, and I hold a Master of Nursing in Leadership with a focus on aging from the University of Alberta.
My Granny and Pop are the reason I do this work. They taught me that good care is about relationships and knowing who a person truly is, not just completing tasks.
I help families in Edmonton and area care for aging parents with confidence. Together, we’ll look at what’s happening now, what matters most to your loved one, and what comes next. I offer Quality of Life Caring Guides, In-Home Safety Assessments, Healthy Aging Roadmaps, and capacity assessments for guardianship and trusteeship.
Not sure where to start? Book a free 30-minute consultation. I’ll listen, answer your questions, and help you decide on the next step. Evening and weekend appointments are available.
